Pismo Beach California
We left
Chula Vista RV Resort on March 5th and drove directly to Pismo Beach RV
Village. I would love to able able to say the drive was relaxing and
enjoyable, but I see no sense in lying to ya'll. Our dear friends, Paul
& Nancy helped us with our route and Paul gave us great directions.
Unfortunately I missed the freeway split at Hwy - 405 and ended up
driving this 40 ft bus towing our car right through downtown Los
Angeles. When I say downtown, I truly mean DOWNTOWN. While it was a
Sunday morning, the traffic was miserable and required alot of
concentration on my part to keep from hitting the Mercedes, BMW's and
other nice rides from the people in Hollywood. I have never been so
joyous as to get out of that mess and onto an open road with little
traffic. The drive up to Pismo Beach is a great one. Scenic, rolling
hills, plenty of vineyard's and cattle ranches along with a few rock
filled mountains. After the brain fade moment I had of missing my exit back in LA, I was happy to see all this " countryside
".
Pismo
Beach is an ocean town. Not very big and it is surrounded by gorgeous
green mountain scape. Our home away from home for the 12 days we are here
is located in Pismo Beach RV Village. The resort/campground is not what
we are used to with paved sites and patios, but it was designed to have
more of a natural setting among the native trees and shrubbery
from the area. The resort is clean and well kept, has complimentary WI-FI
internet service and for the most part its quiet, except when the true
campers head in for the weekend ( they packed this place with campers
during our first weekend ). But it doesn't have a hot tub which I miss a
great deal. Overall, its a nice stop for us and allowed us the chance to
see a different coastal area. We will be leaving March 17th for Las
Vegas ( back to the desert again ).
Here are
the pictures of the Pismo Beach area and the RV park. Enjoy !!
