Garden of the Gods
Of all the places we have seen so far, this probably has to be one of my favorites. We visited the Garden of the God's not once but twice. Each time we seen something different and looked at the park from different angles. The rock formations presented different faces when seen from another angle and it was fun to sit and study each one and try to figure out what each rock resembled. Most resembled none, but a few looked as though they were sculpted to present a hidden object or animal.
The Garden of the God's defies explanation. It is a place where I personally believe that God himself used the earth in this area to create his own abstract art. It is a place that gives you the feeling that he selected each rock, cliff, stone and arrangement / formation and placed them in strategic spots for all of us to enjoy. It was just awe inspiring to be able to sit back and look at just how beautiful this small area of land is and how unique it is.
If we are ever back in this area, you can bet we will be stopping for one more visit. It is a place I could never grow tired of seeing. I have included numerous photos of this area below for all of you to enjoy.
Note: Yes a few of these pictures do have climbers on top of the rocks. Your really not seeing or imagining things. :)
