The Royal Gorge
Now here is a bridge that will take your breath away. Not when you drive over it mind you, but when you walk right up to the edge and look over. At 1053 ft, the view downward is best described as a " Long " ways down there.
Ally and I walked across the bridge and took several photos. In one you will see where I stuck the lens of the camera through an opening in the wooden planks on the bridge to give a direct shot to the bottom ( look for the photo with the black around he left edge ). We also took the sky tram to the bottom as well and really enjoyed the bottom of the gorge. I took a photo through the cage ( look for the photo with the blue screen in it ). The tram itself traveled down 1,500 ft to the bottom of the gorge. Be sure to look at he picture of the wooden pipe that hangs from the side of the gorge. This pipe used to carry all the water to the City of Canon until it was abandoned in the 70's. We really enjoyed ourselves here and had a great deal of fun taking pictures from different areas of the gorge ( the top and bottom ). Of course as with most of our journeys we stopped for a picnic and included a couple pictures of this too.
Hope you enjoy looking at them.
