The Western Town of Tombstone

One only has to visit Tombstone to realize what a rough, harsh and tough life it was back then in the Old West. People back then experienced 110 degree days, dust, dirt, muddy streets, gun battles, outlaws and justice served western style are all examples of life back in the 1880's. It was a little weird sitting down and having breakfast in the same building where Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday, Big Nose Kate and other famous people from back then sat and ate their breakfast as well.

I enjoyed strolling the streets of Tombstone and seeing allot of the old buildings some still have their original charm, but many now strike the commercial feel of the new era. Still, one only has to look past all the fuss of today to see exactly what life was like back then. It was extremely rough and makes me thankful I wasn't alive back then in that time.

A covered wagon takes people on tours of the main street. The stage master gives talks as you go. A look down the main street of Tombstone
A look in the other direction on Main street This building sports an all tin sided building which resembles cement block.
A store keeper took us into the back room of his store to show us an authentic adobe brick wall. It is one of the few remaining adobe walls left from the 1800's. Chris thought he had a big head till he met up with this Buffalo.:)
Ally poses for a picture with three of Tombstones cowboys. The red sashes denote they were part of the outlaw gang that terrorized the area in the 1880's. Ally finds another Cowboy/miner to strike a pose with.
Today we have drive by shootings. Back then they just grabbed you and tied you up and lynched you to death. Picture this happening today. The family would hire a lawyer and sue the government for wrongful death. Back then they just shrugged it off and said " Opp's ".
