We enjoy our local rides but sometimes love to get away from it
all. Our coach and trailer provides us the opportunity to pack up
and haul to another State or local area and while there have our own
home on wheels. It also gives us the flexibility of using our
enclosed trailer as our garage on the road. I have a thing about
staying in hotels and using bed's and bathrooms others have used.
This is really important when my immune system is down as I am so
susceptible to germs. With the set up we have, we can travel and
have the luxury of always having our bikes garaged, sleeping in our
own beds and using our own bathroom along with cooking our own
meals. It works out great and also allows us to take along our two
pets Tessa and MiMo. We really enjoy being mobile and having the
opportunity to be able to just pack up and drive to a scenic
location when the one we are at gets boring :) Below are the
pictures of our setup. Enjoy !!

The wheel chocks allow me easy access underneath the bike to
perform oil changes. If I am going to do any work on the
bike I simply slide the engine stand underneath it and it
holds the bike steady |
This was an idea that I got from a friend Jack. He uses this
same setup on his Harley full dresser. I redesigned it a bit
more, and added a couple more features like foam and hollow
center section |

This vinyl coated block of wood really stabilizes the bike.
I had the straps work lose on one side of the bike during a
trip and the bike stayed stationary and never tipped over |
This is the wheel chock I got off E-nay from a vendor. I
bought two of these for a total price of $ 150 bucks ( for
both ). Great deal. |

Instructions on how to build the Christopher Stand |
The Finished Christopher Stand |

Yes I am legal. Barely. Everyone asks that question. :) The
law says 65 ft in most States and I am right at 64.5 ft. (
That's using my tape measure by the way ) |
A very good friend of mine painted the trailer when we got
it to match the coach. He did all the layout work himself.
No vinyl graphics were used on this job |

The trailer is a 20 ft Haulmark car hauler with a beaver
tail. The side door is large enough to offer easy access to
the trailer. |
This package that Haulmark had called the thrifty car
hauler, includes a lot of extras, including chrome, lights
and a finished off interior. |
 |
 |
| Looking
from the rear ramp door you can see the new cabinets I
installed. I had tolls laying around in boxes and parts
everywhere and it was driving me insane. |
The wheel chocks hold the bikes upright very well. The walls
have gear hooks so we can leave our gear right in the
trailer |

|
This is a very simple project. I wanted some helmet stands
and seen one on the internet that a guy made so I decided to
make a few for our trailer. Our helmets can sometimes get
scuffed up laying on the floor or sitting on the mirrors of
the bike where they may fall off. This stand gives the
helmet a perfect mounting place and also allows air to move
through it to dry it out. |
Assembling the materials is simple. One screw, a washer, a
locking nut and your done. The back portion of plate has two
holes drilled that can be used to attach the stand to the
wall. The other end of the stand is drilled to attach the
wooden disc. |
 |
 |
|
I picked up all the materials at Lowes. I took a 24 inch
piece of 1/8 th inch flat stock and bent it according to the
measurements, then attached a 3 inch round wooden disc with
a screw, nut and a couple washers. I then painted everything
black. |
Once done you can mount the stand to the wall in your
trailer, garage, house or wherever.to hold your helmet. The
wooden disc on the top can also be covered with a leather
like material and some foam padding under it if you want. |

Yes I have OCD and am anal about everything being perfectly
laid out. Even my tool drawers :) |

This is our living area. I have since removed the love seat
on the left and replaced that with two euro recliners. They
are real comfy and much better then the love seat |
Kitchen area with leather couch. The couch folds out into a
queen size bed and has an inner spring / air mattress. |

This is the reason why we haul our bikes around in a
trailer. It gives us a place to lock them up as well as a
garage whenever we are traveling. This photo was taken at
the resort we stay at in Florida |
This view here is what makes owning a coach worth it. We can
park in places like this that offer gorgeous views while
having our home with us. |
