The Aripeka / Bayport Rides

I cannot count the number of times we have rode the Aripeka route in Florida. Its located just a few miles from the resort we stay at and is a winding, twisting ride. Our group loves taking this route when heading North towards Springhill and its a popular route for bikers. It also helps us avoid " Death Alley " which is Hwy 19 which runs North and South along the Gulf coast. Its a heavily congested HWY in the winter months so Aripeka is a welcome road for us bikers. It always seems when we are bored or looking for a short ride, one of our biker friends says " Lets go ride Aripeka ". Some of our rides end up at Dairy Queen for a good old fashioned high fat gram, artery clogging ice cream sundae. :)  Ally and I rode the Aripeka route one day and since traffic was very light ( which it almost always is ) we stopped to snap a few photos along the way. They are posted below.

Another favorite haunt of ours that is close to our resort is Bayport. That too is a favorite biker route that winds out to the coastline. Its actually a fishing / boat launch and a favorite place for crabbers but we enjoy riding out there and looking out over the Gulf of Mexico. We have also included a couple pictures of this spot as well and plan on getting some more later. Enjoy the photos.
