Merry Christmas

Remember the Reason for the Season

Latest News for the Month of

December 2008

I cannot believe we are past the first week of December and I am just now getting around to writing an update. What a slacker. :)

Things have been quiet here on the home front. Ally has been battling a sore back for a while now and it isn't getting much better so we will be asking Dr. Brockmyre what he feels the problem is. She has had a lot of painful days / nights and I am sure she will be glad to find out what the problem is. I have put her on        " light duty " till then and banned her from riding her motorcycle. Getting bounced around not to mention standing up a 700 lb motorcycle is NOT good for a bad back.

I have been busy sewing and took in a few projects from other people not to mention the back log I have of my own upholstery projects. I haven't ridden the motorcycle much lately and have stayed busy working on my " to do list " and need a nice scenic ride to get my mind right again. :)

Unless you have been living under a rock the last 6 months, this economy is in shambles. I am not going to get into the politics of it all but I have to say it hurts to see good people lose homes, cars and most importantly their jobs. We have a lot of people hurting in this country right now and it seems no ones job is secure. I think the reasons for what we are experiencing is long and there is surely enough blame to go around. But if your one of those who lost a job, home, etc. I guess it really doesn't matter whose at fault. If you have been caught up in this mess then I send my thoughts and prayers to you. Hang in there as things will eventually get better. ( I am predicting 2 years before a good solid recovery begins ).

In regards to my health the good news is that I have ended this round of chemo. I am taking a break from the Interferon regimen and giving my body a rest. This stuff is so toxic and hard on my liver, brain and kidneys that I need these breaks now and then. There is no better time to get off this stuff then the Holiday season. I always enjoy feeling decent and being able to enjoy the kids and Christmas without the sickness.

Speaking of the kids. I am getting busy preparing the coach for our trip to Virginia and Tennessee. We care heading home to spend Christmas with Lindy, Kim, Ella and Natalia. I cannot wait to see them as I get lonely for them and miss the heck out of them. I never seem to see enough of them but I guess that's part of being a parent. You cannot wait till they are grown and out of the house and then you miss the heck out of them. :)

My next update will be in January as we will be on the road for a couple weeks. Until then I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  Please be careful if your traveling and do not forget to slow down if the roads are bad.

Merry Christmas,

 God Bless you all,

Chris
