February 2008
Yes, your right, I am very late with this update.
First things first.
30 years ago started a new journey for me into the realm of fatherhood. It was February 2nd 1978 that my first child, Lindy was born. Four years later, on the same exact day my daughter Natalia was born. On their birthdays every year I am reminded of just how lucky I am to have two great kids. Over the course of my lifetime I have held many different jobs, from driving ambulances, to an apprenticeship mortician to my marketing career. None of them can come close to the satisfaction, happiness and pride I have in my job as a father. Being a parent is one of the greatest ( and most interesting ) jobs one could ever have. My kid's have filled my life with joy and kept my heart warm with love and pride. Happy birthday Lindy & Natalia. You can always count on my love.

I do want to wish everyone a happy Valentines Day. This is a great time to remember your loved ones by sending them a card, flowers or chocolate. ( Everyone loves chocolate ). If anyone wonders about the origins of this holiday you can click here to find out more. It's an interesting read. http://www.answers.com/topic/st-valentine-s-day
There hasn't been a lot going on in my life as of late. I believe we are currently in what I like to refer to as " cruise mode ". I have had my usual projects and finished off several upholstery jobs but most of my time has been dedicated to finishing off my new motorsports marketing CD that I have worked so hard on. This has been an accumulation of a great deal of work that started a few years ago. I am finally nearing the end of this project and hope to place it on the market soon. It is basically a self help CD for racers that will enable them to build a comprehensive marketing program for their race teams by using the tips and fundamentals I outline in this program. I am hoping it will be well received by the racing public. I will keep you all posted as to the reception of this program by the racing community.
On the health front, its been a bit rough lately. I haven't felt sick as much as I have felt completely wiped out. I sleep a lot, am tired a great deal, I get worn out quickly and generally feel run down. I do believe this is my bone marrow telling me its time for more chemo injections. This isn't my first brush with these symptoms as they are common for me when my bone marrow starts producing poor quality blood. I believe the Oncologist said " the bone marrow gets stressed out and worn down and begins spitting out morphed and poor quality red cells ". Typically, chemo turns this around but its a catch 22. The chemo ( interferon ) itself makes you feel like crap. But the whole idea is to keep that bone marrow from expending itself and to prevent further damage from fibrosis. So next month starts another course of Interferon. Whopppeeee.... :(
We have had awesome weather lately. It's been perfect motorcycle riding weather so I have gotten on MoJo and ridden as much as I can. Ally and I have taken two great weekend rides through the countryside here and really enjoyed the awesome sunshine and 75 degree weather. We have even more of this weather predicted for this weekend and since Ally has a long weekend ( she has Monday the 18th off ) we plan on taking numerous rides on Saturday and Sunday.
Life in Florida has been slow paced with little happenings to report, which I feel is a good thing. No news sometimes is good news. :)
I will update all of you in the next two weeks and try to include some new pictures. Until then, stay warm, stay safe, enjoy life and don't forget to smile and laugh a lot. Cheers,
Chris
