Latest News for the Month of

May 2009

Eeee Gad's........ I am a full month behind on my news updates. Sorry about that. Life has been completely crazy here.

There is quite a bit to report so I will get started.  First off I want to thank the many people who sent me their condolences on the loss of my Godfather, Tom Jakovac. He fought a long courageous battle with cancer but lost the war at the age of 60. Words could never explain just what an awesome individual he was. I have a lot of great things in my life that occurred thanks to him. He was my junior high teacher, basketball coach, football coach, guidance counselor, my spiritual adviser, a father figure ( after I lost my Dad ) and someone I could always turn to when I needed advice and support with my health battles. I pray God welcomes him into heaven with open arms and am relieved he no longer suffers. May God hold you close Tom and may he heal the many broken hearts within the Jakovac family. My thoughts and prayers remain with my God mother Mary Ellen during this difficult time.

In other news, I am back on chemo and this round has been rough. For some reason I have been getting hit with alot of nausea. It seems to come right at dinner time too so its sometimes hard to eat. Its a helluva way to diet. :)

I am long overdue for some lab tests so I need to get busy on that.

In some exciting news, Ally and I have purchased another home. We bought a foreclosed property in Brooksville, Florida and I have been spending all my days there getting it ready for the banks inspection. We hope to close within the next two weeks and then move in sometime near the end of June.

We still have our house in Bristol and our plans are to head back home as soon as school is out to pack up our belongings and supervise the loading of our belongings into the moving van. Then we will head back to Florida and unpack and get settled in our new home. The house is a great piece of property which sits on 1 acre and is on a dead end road. There is no traffic there so its nice and quiet. While the Suncoast Parkway is a little ways out from our house, you do not seem to hear the noise because of the woods across from our house. It is a 3 bedroom / 2 bath ranch style home with an inground pool and nice big back yard. Half the property is fenced and cleared while the back half section of land is wooded.

Our plans are to keep our 5 acres at Otter Creek, Virginia and then maybe put a well and septic on the property so we can stay there in the summer months with the coach. The house in Bristol we plan on finishing off the remodeling work and then put it up for sale. I did consider renting it out, but I really do not want the aggravation of dealing with renters. So hopefully we can sell the place next spring.

I will give you all an update as to when the property closes with the mortgage company. We have been extremely nervous going through this process because of the new mortgage / lending guidelines they have. If you think the IRS is bad, try getting a new mortgage. They are really climbing inside your life with a microscope and asking for mounds of documents now.

I hope this finds all of you doing well and that you are all happy, healthy and ready for the summer. May God bless all of you and your families. Here is to a great month ahead for us all.
