Latest News for the Month of

December 2005

Your probably all wondering what happened to me ? Did he kick the bucket ? Did he get kidnapped by a group of Hooters waitresses ? Nope to all. Its just been a crazy month and there was hardly any time to write. I had forgotten so much time went by since my last update.

We finally got everything cleared out of the house on Taylor St. and are now situated on State St. December had to be one of the worst months I have witnessed ( health wise ) in a long time. My slides showed an increase in tear dropped shaped cells which indicates the Myeloid Metaplasia has taken a firm hold. At the same time I simply lost track of my blood counts and didn't have my routine tests done and when I did my blood volume was incredibly high. I ended up getting two 500 CC venesection's two weeks in a row to get the volume down before we left for our trip. Thankfully they worked but my bone marrow is in high gear now producing way to many red cells. The venesections left me weak and tired all the time. Ingrid is all stocked up on supplies and will be able to do the phlebotomies while we are away.

We got all packed up and headed to Lindy and Kim's for our family Xmas. Our big trip started but laughingly we only made it 30 miles before driving into an ice storm. We ended up over-nighting at a truck stop because the freeway was closed down due to numerous accidents - 28 just in our area. Still it wasn't to bad, we found a secluded spot at the back of the parking lot and watched satellite TV in the comfort of the coach, complete with heat, hot water and Christmas decorations and a tree. :)

Our Christmas at Lindys was filled with laughs, smiles and complete happiness. The older I get, it seems the more I appreciate being a Grandpa. That little girl has captured my heart and is my pride and joy. I will be posting pictures of our Xmas soon so stay tuned.

Currently we are in Cleveland, TN at a WalMart parking lot. We are here for the night to get some rest then head to Mississippi in the morning for another over night stay with the WalMart gang. :) People cannot figure out why RV'ers do this but I can say the main reason is convenience. It's just to hard finding campgrounds that are mainly located out of the way and on back roads. You also end up paying $ 30 bucks for a few hours stay. Allot of RV'ers now days use WalMart store parking lots as a place to get a few hours rest before heading onward on their final destination. The Walmart people love us RV'ers because everyone of us stays in their parking lots but always stop into the tore and spend money.

I am hoping that this finds all of you ready for Xmas, happy and healthy. For those of you in the Northern part of the USA, I know your suffering from a brutal winter. My heart is with you all till I get to the sunny climates of Arizona and California then the sympathy ends. :)

If I am unable to get back online before Christmas, please do have a safe, happy and enjoyable time with your families. May God bless each and everyone of you.

Happy Holidays,

Chris
