The Passing of Trooper
Some people will never understand how a dog can become a cherished
member of a family. Being animal lovers "Trooper" was more then just a
family dog. He was our kid, a member of the family, our protector and
our friend who gave us years of unconditional love.
With his own unique personality, Trooper seemed to be more human
then dog. He knew when I was having my bad days on chemo, when I
didn't feel good and gave me extra attention. He never seemed to stray far
from me during this time, instead he remained vigilant - always close by and always in the same room with me
where he could watch me.
He would approach me out of the blue without being called and stick his nose
under my arm to give me a loving nudge. He would come without being called
and give a quick kiss on the forehead or cheek at the moment when you needed
it most. He would tease you and play with you until he wore you out and you
had enough. He would protect you under any circumstances and would lay his
life down for you if the the need arose.
When they say that " Dog is Mans Best Friend", they obviously had Trooper
in mind. He was our best friend, our protector, our child and a
member of our family. He will be missed and always remembered.
Enjoy these memorable moments that we were able to capture of Trooper on
Film.
