Just a Few Words

They say " time changes everything " and my life seems to suggest that maybe the old saying is true. Looking back to the day I retired in January 2000 I remain amazed of the changes Ally and I have went through in our life.

With the sale of our home in Lansing, MI to the out of State move to Bristol, TN and then the purchase of a new motorcoach with life on the road followed by our latest home in Florida, life has produced some interesting and fun changes.

I look at life as a large book. As we go through each day we seem continue to turn the pages until we finish one chapter and then open another. Each page seems to bring new events, happenings, adventures and challenges and this web site was created to highlight many of these life events for my family and friends.

I know a few of you say my life is never a dull moment and I have to admit, this is very true at times. There are other times my life seems to be a big bore, but either way, I am grateful I have life and am still able to live it to its fullest and enjoy each new day. After all, life is what you make of it. I hope you find this site interesting and informative while also providing you a slight glimpse into my daily struggles as well as the happy moments I strive to create everyday.

I want to take this time to thank each and everyone of you who have visited this site and caught up with me on Facebook. Many of you have indicated it is easier to get up to date information on my life and to also find out the status of my health. Some have jokingly used this web site to find out exactly where in the heck I am currently located. However you may use this site doesn't really matter as it truly means the world to me to know that others are thinking of me. Your visits here at the web site, your e-mails, your cards and your kind words have given me the strength to carry on with the health battle's in my life.

Whenever I feel I am ready to give up and allow this disease to take its natural course, one of you takes the time to drop me an e-mail or a card and that in itself adjusts my attitude and starts that raging fire inside me to continue to fight. Others simply call and tell me to get with the program or face their wrath. :) Regardless of how you have communicated, I want you to know its appreciated and it does make a difference. Once again - Thank you.

If I can leave you with any words of advice it is this - Enjoy each day as if its your last. Life can be so terribly short for some that none of us know for sure if this our last day.  Kick up your heels, smile and laugh and live life like never before. Inject some humor into your lives and let all the petty grievances of the day slide off your back and try not to take life to seriously. When life kicks you,  laugh back and move on. Always remember a saying that I have. " Life sure beats the alternative "  :)

My wish is that God will Bless each of you and your families with happiness and good health. Play safe, stay healthy, find happiness and enjoy,

Chris
